Workshop: Asking Questions

How might we ask really good questions?

This year, UFM is celebrating its 50 year anniversary! Our birthday campaign is centered around questions to spark curiosity and discovery, challenge the status quo, and inspire us to continuously listen and learn.

In this conversation with Professor Steven Tomlinson we’ll:

  • explore what makes a question a good question and how to come prepared to ask good questions when you’re teaching, negotiating or leading a meeting,
  • look at the role of intention, objective, assumptions and form in the crafting of good questions,
  • learn skills and strategies for focusing attention while listening so your questions build trust as well as provoke discovery.
